“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded;
and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”
Luke 12:48
We are committed to investing in the next generation.
After an extraordinarily blessed year of seeing lives changed here at Crossroads, we believe wholeheartedly that God is leading us as a church to be radically generous as we close out 2024. Rather than solely raise year-end funds for Crossroads Next Generation ministries this December, we want to boldly give one third of it to our parent church, Milestones Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to support them as they kick off a relaunch of their own Wize ‘N Up program this summer. Read more about Milestones and our history together below.

"Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch."
"The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea. This they did, sending their gift to the elders by Barnabas and Saul."
Acts 11:25-26; 29-30
Milestones Church and the history of Wize 'N Up
Crossroads’ story with Milestones Church goes way back to 1999 when Pastor Jeff and Sherrey were living in South Carolina, and God used a two-year assignment with Kohler Company and Milestones church (then known as Spartanburg Community Church) to lead Jeff & Sherrey to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Over the next two years, Pastor Hub Blankenship, the founding pastor of Milestones, and his wife Brenda poured their lives into Jeff & Sherrey in discipleship relationships. After moving back to Wisconsin in 2001 and feeling called to plant Crossroads, Milestones was thrilled to support to launch of Crossroads in countless ways. Along with New Life Community Church in Plymouth, Milestones was the parent church of Crossroads. Milestones was the largest financial supporter of Crossroads in our early days, donating well over $75,000 to start Crossroads. In addition, in 2007, they sent a team of roughly 45 church members to Sheboygan to teach us how to put on Wize ‘N Up for the first time. This mission trip they funded planted the seeds for what is now our largest outreach to the community and an event that God has used to change the eternal destinies of over 1,500 children over the past 17 years!
As if those things were not enough, Pastor Jeff would tell you that without the mentorship and constant phone calls with Pastor Hub in those early days of Crossroads, he’s not convinced he would have lasted in ministry. Pastor Hub’s support, along with Brenda’s, proved to be exactly what Pastor Jeff and Sherrey needed during those instrumental times in the life of Crossroads. But not only was Milestones there for Crossroads in our early days in Sheboygan, they were also there for Crossroads in our early days in Manitowoc when we planted our first campus. Get this…Milestones became a significant financial supporter of our Manitowoc campus…..and they did not even know Pastor Nick and Shannon! They were simply so excited about what God had been doing in Crossroads in Sheboygan, that they cherished the opportunity to see that Kingdom work continue in Manitowoc. Suffice it to say this…..without Milestones Church and their constant support in numerous ways, Crossroads as it is today, would not exist.
Now it is our privilege to give back and support them as our parent church. Over the years, they saw a significant decrease in people willing to help put on Wize ‘N Up at Milestones Church. Consequently, the event was discontinued. With much excitement, Milestones has decided that it is time to re-launch Wize ‘N Up in the summer of 2025! In 2024, they sent a group to the Sheboygan Wize ‘N Up to shadow serving team members throughout the week in preparation for their kick-off event the following summer. Here is where Crossroads comes in; just as Milestones sent a group of people to help us learn the ropes back in 2007, we will do the same for their brand new team of leaders. In the summer of 2025, we will send a group of people from Crossroads on a mission trip to South Carolina to help Milestones with the re-launch of Wize ‘N Up. The funds raised will cover the cost of the mission trip and will help supplement the expenses related to the event itself. We hope you will consider standing in the gap for Milestones and the work God wants to do through them just as they have for us!
